"This was both a concert and a travel day, with an afternoon performance and an evening flight. Dan and Eric wanted to get us out of our hotel as quickly as possible, as today was the World Series Winning Parade, and the whole city would be heading towards our hotel and the stadium.

So, we packed our bags and took them to Powell Hall before being taken to the West End for a delicious brunch. It was strange driving out of town, with a sea of red heading in the opposite direction. Fortunately there were enough people left in Powell Hall to provide yet another great audience. This orchestra, and obviously David Robertson, have very loyal followers - and of course Synergy Vocals was in town!
This concert also went really well. By this time, we'd set up a system with the monitor engineer whereby he stood inside the door in the wings until he got a nod from me that all was well in the sound department. The red foam finger made its last appearance then was donated to the back-stage area where they had a little shelf of souvenirs from previous concerts. We couldn't stay for the 2nd half of the concert this time as we had to go straight to the airport for two very long, tedious flights home. We'd had an amazing couple of weeks but were all looking forward to sleeping in our own beds!
Special thanks must go to all at St Louis Symphony, especially Dan, Lisa, Eric and Jeremy. We always feel "at home" working with David, but it was especially lovely to be made so welcome by the whole orchestra. Everyone was really kind and it was an absolute pleasure to work with these wonderful players. I do hope they'll have us back...."
