"We arrived on October 25th to a rather grey looking Belfast, only to get greyer and wetter as our trip went on. A productive rehearsal, albeit without sound equipment for the most part, at Queens University. Then back to Days Inn where we were staying (quite fitting as I don't think we'll get a day out!). That said, we did find a particularly fine gas-lit pub with a tremendous pint of Guinness to sample, and a great curry at Jharna, recommended by the barman at the afore-mentioned pub.

Having done my tour of the city by foot before the rain came down, we met to take a black-cab tour of the Shankhill and Falls Road areas of the city; very interesting although rather depressing.

The afternoon rehearsal at the Grand Opera House proved to be quite an ordeal for the sound technician, but he coped admirably.

Weill's Seven Deadly Sins was fun to perform, and was well received. However, we were a little perplexed to find that the Ulster Youth Choir were billed in the programme and not Synergy Vocals. I'm sure the audience never clocked a thing!!"
